# Configuring Umbraco Latch

Before configuring Umbraco Latch, you need to:

1. Create a Latch developer account at \[<https://latch.elevenpaths.com/www/](><https://latch.elevenpaths.com/www/>. This is **free**, although there are paid subscriptions. You can see all the subscription levels at: <https://latch.elevenpaths.com/www/subscription.html>.
2. [Sign In](https://latch.elevenpaths.com/www/login) into your Latch account and create a new application for your Umbraco website.
